The City of Manhattan Beach encourages a strong local economy and quality of life by promoting commerce, sound government and an informed community.

Manhattan Beach offers an eclectic balance of work and play for everyone. The city blends the best of L.A. with coastal creativity and imagination and an attractive mix of casual-fine dining restaurants, specialty boutiques and retailers that create a pedestrian friendly, mixed-use downtown center, all while being steps away from the beach.

The northeast Manhattan Beach business area along Rosecrans between Sepulveda and Aviation includes many restaurants, shops and large office properties. It also includes the Marriott Hotel and Golf Course and the Manhattan Beach Studios. The Manhattan Beach Studios media campus is home to some of the most popular movies in entertainment, including Marvel pictures "Thor", "Iron Man 2" and James Cameron's "Avatar". The studio complex is also equipped with one of the largest photovoltaic solar panel rooftop installations in the area, which generates approximately 1 megawatt of power.

The Sepulveda Corridor is the main north south highway through the city and includes the Manhattan Village Mall anchored by Macy's and other tenants including the Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma and the Apple Store. Many restaurants such as Islands, Chili's, Olive Garden and the Tin Roof are also located at the Manhattan Village Mall.

Manhattan Beach is a beautiful city offing many amenities to both residents and business.
