Overview

El Segundo is home to the most Fortune 500 companies in California next to San Francisco.

The city is a leader in Southern California business and recognized as the aerospace and defense capital of the world with names such as Boeing, Raytheon, the Aerospace Corporation and Northrop Grumman to fulfill contracts; many of which originate from the Los Angeles Air Force Base also located in El Segundo. Plus, the city is home to Mattel, the world’s largest toy manufacturer, and DirecTV, the country’s largest satellite television operator. Additionally, according to Inc. 5000., El Segundo is home to the nation's two fastest growing companies, Fuhu and Quest Nutrition.

El Segundo continues to attract more high tech and creative companies, manufacturers and innovative entrepreneurs as a result of its comprehensive office opportunities. The city offers one of the region’s lowest utility tax rates, no gross receipts tax and a wide variety of tax credits to relocating businesses.
